Hearing Implants
Cochlear implants are surgically implanted hearing systems which consist of two parts: an audio processor and an implant. Cochlear implants are used to treat severe to profound sensorineural hearing loss.
Middle ear implants are used as a solution for people with mild to severe sensorineural hearing loss. Middle ear implants transmit the sound directly to the inner ear and thereby preserve the natural hearing.
Bone conduction implants are used for the treatment of conductive hearing loss, mixed hearing loss and single-sided deafness. The implant is placed under the skin and connected to an externally worn audio processor!
EAS systems are designed for specific problems with hearing high-pitched sounds (high frequency sensorineural hearing loss) and understanding speech in noisy surroundings.
Other Hearing Systems
Bone Conduction Systems do not require surgery and are worn behind the ear. They are comfortable, easy to use and represent an ideal hearing solution for both babies and children and adults with conductive hearing loss.
